The Fairfield Center is committed to creating dialogue and listening in communities, beginning in hometown Harrisonburg, Virginia. Fairfield creates innovative programming that have a benefit local benefit, and that can be adopted by other communities.
Harrisonburg Summits
The Fairfield Center, having expertise in large-group dialogue processes, has created and successfully implemented a community dialogue model that overcomes the limitations of traditional conference design and maximizes the potential of many community members collaboratively discussing and addressing vital community issues.

The OrangeBand Initiative
The OrangeBand Initiative began in 2003, and has since evolved as a program to promote listening. The OrangeBand itself is a symbol of an interest in and commitment to practice listening at work and in life. The program is housed within the Fairfield Center. See www.OrangeBand.org
